TG130 Service availability version 0.3 is available for public comment for a period of three weeks.
Start date: 9 September 2010
End date: 30 September 2010
The aim of the document
The Government aims to provide citizens with access to online services on a reliable, ongoing basis. Public sector website managers are required to work with their suppliers to ensure that the services are operating and available to users as and when they are required.
Few issues online affect public perception of the capability of government more than finding an official website providing key public sector services or information is not available or not performing to acceptable quality. The credibility of organisations and of the public sector as a whole can be affected by poor quality provision of online services.
The objective of this guidance is to establish the standards that should reasonably be expected from a public sector organisation in terms of levels of availability and quality of online services.
