The aim of the document
The Government aims to give citizens a greater level of involvement in shaping policy and plans, whether this be in from an individual, work or societal perspective. Part of delivering this is to give people the opportunity to comment publicly online about ideas, proposals and plans.
The objective of this guidance is to ensure that commentable documents promote trust in government, through application of consistent and transparent practices.
How can I comment?
You can comment either directly via the comments box on the section you are reading or via email to digigov@coi.gsi.gov.uk.
What happens to my comments?
Comments submitted via the blog and via email will be collated and input into the next version of the guidance intended for publication on the COI website. The Digital Policy team will email respondents with a summary of the actions taken in light of comments received. The intention is to complete the process by the end of August 2010.
